The inaugural event of the Pordax Social Series, “A Winter’s Trail” will run from Cafe Porteur on December 29th. 

You’ll have to navigate, strategise and be inventive to win.  How many checkpoints can you find before the time runs out? Define your own route and how hard you want to push. Choose on-road or off road, fun or fast.

All checkpoints and event rules will be revealed at the morning briefing at 7.45am at Porteur on the day of the event. Event start time will be 8.30am . 

All participants must get back to Porteur before the cut off at 3.30pm.

There will be extra points for best team name, best photo taken during the event and best road find. These points will be added to the accumilated cycling points to find an eventual Pordax champion. This is all just for fun. Cycle points will be awarded in order, to the team who has visited the most checkpoints, gained the most stars and returned before the cut off. Not all checkpoints will have an equal star rating. 

Where two teams/individuals have the same number of stars the one who returned first will be the winner. You do not have to visit all the checkpoints and only one checkpoint needs to be completed to enter a score. This will be highlighted on the day of the event. The minimum distance to complete the event and enter a score will be approx 100km depending on your route. 

All participants will need a working navigation system (phone/garmin).You must have suitable attire for the event when considering the time of year and the forecast. You must have a working set of front and rear lights. You are entirely resposible for your own equipment. You must wear a helmet during the event. 

Entries are open now and will close on December 20th. Check with your doctor before undertaking any athletic event. 

Sign up sheets should be fully completed and a fee of £5per person be presented at cafe Porteur to secure your place. There will be a free coffee and mince pies 

on arrival for all participants.  If the event is cancelled due to bad weather or low numbers you will be able to reclaim you entry fee from cafe Porteur after the annoucment. If you fail to attend the event after sign up you will lose your entry fee.
